The Belfast tarred road that leads to Paul Kruger Gate is currently inaccessible due to a community strike regarding service delivery.
Guests are advised to use alternative gates such as Phabeni and Numbi gates to enter the park.

The road leading to Paul Kruger Gate, through a village called Belfast just 10km away from the gate remains inaccessible.
The Elephant Point junction has also been blocked by trees and loads of sand.
We continue to urge guests to use alternatives such as Numbi and Phabeni to travel in and out of the Park until further information is received and posed or published.

TRAFFIC ALERT | PROTESTERS STONE VEHICLES IN PHALABORWA
PHALABORWA-A group of protesters pelted vehicles with stones in Mashishimale on Monday morning.
Phalaborwa community radio reports that the protesters are demanding service delivery in the Mashishimale area and are demanding the Mayor Cllr MM Malatji to come and address them.
The protesters blocked Selwane and Mashishimale R71 road,motorists are advised to be cautious and avoid using the road. Police have just arrived at the scene.

R71 is now open and clear. This follows an intervention by the Public Order Policing Unit who arrived on the scene from Giyani. POP fired rubber bullets at protesters who responded by finding cover in the bushes.
This is after the road was blocked by protesters from Mashishimale demanding service delivery and Mayor of Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality Cllr MM Malatji to come and address them.
The road is now open and traffic is free flowing. Motorists are still advised to drive with caution.

⚠️Kruger Social Media Alert⚠️
There have been ongoing protests in the Western boundary of the Kruger National Park which at times affected normal operations of the Paul Kruger Gate, Numbi Gate and to a certain extent Phabeni Gate. Labour Unions have declared the 24 August 2022 as a shutting down of the country day and the situation around the KNP might escalate. We advise visitors to the KNP to consider these in terms of their travel while those intending to leave the park to take note of possible delays in their departure. Services might also be affected by the absence of staff who might be not be able to make the trip to work. We will look out for any developments and update information on our SM Platforms periodically.
