Hallo Gelie,
einerseits stellst Du Namibia also quasi gesetzesfreien Raum dar, bei dem sich niemand um die Einhaltung bestehender Gesetze kümmert und jeder macht, was er will. Andererseits meinst Du aber mit Demonstrationen etwas bewirken zu können. Passt für mich nicht zusammen.

Es war eine typisch namibische Demonstration... eine Handvoll Leute.. Interessanterweise ging es den Demonstranten vor Ort vor allem darum, dass Öltestbohrungen gänzlich nicht erlaubt werden sollen. Das Thema "Fracking" wurde gar nicht so prominent dargestellt. (Quelle: Hitradio Namibia; contributed)

Das Anliegen des Videos von It’s a Wrap ist unbedingt wichtig, inhaltlich und formal ist mE es ein minderwertiger unprofessioneller Mist. Das ist nur Selbstbeschädigung des Anliegens, ein aufgelegter Elfer für die „Gegenseite“. Bei diesem und ähnlichen Themen muss man mE auch sehr aufpassen, um nicht auf „Der Strom kommt aus der Steckdose“ - Niveau abzusacken. Grundsätzlich halte ich es für legitim, dass ein Staat, der so gut wie alles importieren muss, seine Ressourcen zumindest ein Mal erhebt. Alles andere wäre eine Pflichtverletzung der Staatsführung. Zuerst gibt es Exploration…. Ergebnisse…. UVPs…. Kosten/Nutzen-Analysen …. usw. Das sind lange Entscheidungsprozesse in die alle nationalen wie internationalen stakeholder, wie das auf Neudeutsch jetzt heißt, sich einbringen können. Das traue ich Namibia und dem Rest der Welt grundsätzlich zu. Das Fracking ist ein ganz anderes Thema und hat mW mit Exploration grundsätzlich nichts zu tun. Dass die Exploration derzeit irgendetwas mit „Fracking“ zu tun hat, kann ich bis jetzt auch nicht erkennen. In BW wurden seit Jahren Explorationsbohrungen durchgeführt, ein Mal kam eine Alarmmeldung betr. Fracking in die einschlägigen Medien. Es war aber nicht verifizierbar. Jemand macht ein paar Bilder von einer Bohrung, stellt es in’s www und ab die Post. Wer von uns könnte schon aus ein paar schlechten Bildern von einer Bohrstelle sagen, ob da „gefrackt“ wurde? Etc… Grüße Und vielleicht könnte man auch erklären, warum sich Manche besser fühlen, wenn die Tonnen von Kerosin und Diesel für den Konsum ihres sogenanntes Naturerlebnisses in NAM, BW etc. aus schwer beschädigtem/r Cabinda,Taiga, Niger Delta etc. kommen? Wo bitte liegt der Unterschied? Man ist immer part of the game, wie das auf Neudeutsch heißt. Jederfrau/mann kann davon ausgehen, schon seit Jahrzehnten mit (auch) durch Fracking geförderten (Roh)Treibstoffen an’s Traumziel gejettet zu sein.
....Sie verlangen die sofortige Einstellung der geplanten Ölbohrungen des kanadischen Unternehmens ReconAfrica in der Kavango-Region....Die AZ-Schwesterzeitung Republikein hatte unterdessen versucht ein Gespräch mit der Geschäftsführung von ReconAfrica in Namibia zu führen, dieses kam jedoch nie zustande.

Es ist eine Zumutung, dass wo immer das Bohrpermit erstellt wurde, in Namibia keine Rücksicht auf ein Welterbe sowie keine Rücksicht auf die Natur bestehen, auf Biodiversität und auf Menschenrechte der wohnhaften Stämme in der betroffenen Regionen...

Während ReconAfrica namibische Farmer beruhigt und weiterhin an seinem Versprechen festhält, kein Fracking bei der möglichen Ölförderung in der Kavango-Region anzuwenden, hat sich eine weitere Tourismusorganisation an drei namibische Minister gewandt. UNESCO hat bereits erste Gespräche mit Namibia und Botswana geführt....

Register as interested party or affected party for EIA (enviro impact assessnemt) for Recon Africa (they look for oil and gas in Kavango East and started drilling on 11 Jan 2021) at Risk-based Solutions (RBS), frontdesk@rbs.com.na or smwiya@rbs.com.na Dr Sindila Mwiya is the manager/owner of RBS. His number is 081 1413 229. Deadline for written submissions is 29th Jan. Date for "lodgement of application for EIA" is 5th Feb. RBS will hold public hearings in Kavango.

Kavango East Governor, Bonifasius Wakudumo, on Thursday commissioned the first oil and gas exploration project in Africa by a Canadian company, Recon Africa, at Kawe village. Recon Africa acquired its petroleum licence from the Ministry of Mines and Energy in 2015 for exploration in both the Kavango East and Kavango West regions. During his official remarks, Wakudumo applauded the Canadian company for embarking on such a massive project in the two regions. He said the commissioning of a project of such magnitude signifies development. “We know that these are private institutions and private developers but what the government is saying is that we need to meet government halfway in terms of employment creation. It is our humble request in the presence of the owners of Recon Africa that we want full participation of the local populace on the project,” said Wakudumo. The official commissioning of Site 6-2 at Kawe was amongst others attended by the Executive Director in the Ministry of Mines and Energy Simeon Negumbo, Managing Director of the Namibian National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor), Immanuel Mulunga and various representatives of traditional authorities in the two regions. Recon Africa’s Deputy Director, Yusneurys Martinez, explained that their initial goal is to find hydrocarbon, which can represent the presence of oil and gas. Martinez further said on-shore exploration for oil and gas in Namibia is very limited and kicking off the exploration activity at Kawe will mark an important moment for Namibia. “We are going to start with the drilling of a deep well because the final goal of this well is to confirm, find and demonstrate the presence of an active petroleum system,” he said.

Der namibische Staat gibt den Start des Bohrvorhabens der Firma ReconAfrica bekannt und bestätigt seine diesbezügliche Unterstützung. ReconAfrica wehrt alle Kritik als Propaganda und Falschinformation ab und vergisst geflissentlich die selbstgemachten Angaben zu dem Projekt....

Hallo Logi, kann man irgendwo ohne Registrierung bei AZ (also in anderen Medien) nachlesen, welche "selbstgemachten Angaben" das waren/wären. Konnte nichts erg**gln Danke und Grüße
