Kasane-Lynianti-Savuti

can someone please give me details on the stretch of road that goes to Lynianti. Why Savuti is fully booked and I found only one place in Lynianti for August but we are alone with the Bobo Discover 4x4 X and wanted to know if anyone has experience on this sandy road ... but what deep sandy?

Drove last year (NOV) with single 2.5 Hillux from Savuti to Lynianti.
When you are coming from katchiku and driving on the firebreak at the T junction you will have to turn left instead of right to Goha Gate.
There had been flat parts with hard sand where you can drive fast and parts with deep sand. However driving with L2 was ok. Got once stuck and had to dig out the car, hard work, but ok. On our way back (to Kasane) passed the same spot with no problem.
Had a local guide with long time experience along - and also my friend who is an experienced Safari Operator in BOTS - advised me NOT to drive the direct way from Savuti to Lynianti. Reason very long and deep sand parts, especially as we had been alone. So we decided to take the longer distance via Goha Gate insted of doing the short but most probably the time longer one.
Lynianti it self is a very nice camping ground. Very beautiful. Compared to Savuti great. The only disadvantage is that the drivable area is too short. Only from the Gate to the Campground. The rest is privat concession. But the view was amazing.
By the way as you are saying you got no Camoground in Savuti, we drove from Mohoto to Lynianti in one trip with long Gamedrives in Savuti and nice picknic and plenty of time.

I did the same last year with a double cab in September.

We had some trouble with our car on the mentioned firebreak and have been towed by the army to Ghoha. They gave us the information that the way mentioned below from Stefan is more difficult than the direct route. So we took the direct route and it was ok, didnt got stuck in between. Partly very deep sand but ok for a DC
