We regret to inform you of the following news, which was received by Wilderness Safaris

After due consideration and with reference to the market demand for beds in the Caprivi region of Namibia, we have regrettably decided that we will be moth-balling our Lianshulu Lodge as of 1 June 2011. We remain positive about the potential for this area as an important part of an elephant corridor between Botswana and Angola/Zambia, but in the face of an unfavourable exchange rate which has impacted on our operating costs and also the affordability of this destination in traditional markets, we do not believe it is sustainable to continue operating in the immediate future.

Schade, war eine sehr schöne Lodge mit prächtiger Lounge unmittelbar am Kwando River gelegen. In Erinnerung habe ich sie als Unterkunft mit schönen Ambiente, mit gutem Essen und gepflegten Service. Die Bootssafari auf dem Kwando mit Sonnenuntergang und Sundowner fand ich super. Und erst das Hippo nachts in der Gartenanlage. Für den Gang vom Bungalow zur Lodge nach Einbruch der Dämmerung ohne Guide wurde ich von 😠 diesen rictig zusammen gestaucht
